Die gute Nachricht ist: Es gibt vermutlich kein Thema, das sich nicht für ein eTwinning-Projekt eignet. Die schlechte Nachricht ist: Es gibt vermutlich kein Thema, das sich nicht für ein eTwinning-Projekt eignet. Wie also anfangen? Wer wenig Erfahrung mit eTwinning hat, macht am besten ein kleines Projekt mit einem überschaubaren Thema. Unter einem kleinen Projekt stelle ich mir zeitlich etwa eine Dauer von 3 Monaten vor, vom Thema her z.B. Wie feiern wir Weihnachten? und im Bereich der Umsetzung die Verwendung von wenigen Tools. So könnte ein Projekt zum o.g. Thema so ablaufen:

1. Präsentation der Beteiligten (Personen, Schulen, Orte) - ca. 3 Wochen - PowerPoint, Steckbriefe
2. Bedeutung von Weihnachten
   Aspekt: persönliche Bedeutung - ca. 2 Wochen - Forumsbeiträge und Diskussion/Interviews
   Aspekt: religiöse Bedeutung - ca. 3 Wochen - PowerPoint, Fotos, Forumsbeiträge
   Aspekt: wirtschaftliche Bedeutung - ca. 4 Wochen - PowerPoint, Forumsbeiträge
3. Versenden von Weihnachtskarten an die Projektschulen als Abschluss

Aus meiner Erfahrung ist für Schülerinnen und Schüler der Vergleich zwischen den Kulturen immer sehr spannend und bereichernd. Ich habe auch schon Themen aus dem Unterricht durch ein eTwinning-Projekt vertieft. Zum Beispiel habe ich Handelskorrespondenz üben lassen oder über Europa nachgedacht - zu Letzterem: http://beamulticulturaleuropean.blogspot.de/ oder http://ecoeurope.blogspot.de/. Diese Blogs dokumentieren den Projektverlauf und bieten daher Anregung. Weitere Hilfen bieten die Kits, die zu verschiedenen Themen Projektabläufe vorschlagen: http://www.etwinning.net/de/pub/collaborate/kits.htm. Wichtig ist, sich und die Klasse nicht zu überfordern und genug Zeit einzuplanen, denn durch das zeitversetzte Arbeiten braucht man einfach ein bisschen länger oder der Computerraum ist nicht so verfügbar wie gewünscht. If you don't have a lot of experience using eTwinning, you should start with a simple topic. When I say simple topic I think of a project of about 3 months with a straightforward topic like "How do we celebrate Christmas?" and a limited number of tools. So a project could be as follows:

1. Presentation (participants, schools, places) - about 3 weeks - PowerPoint, fact sheets
2. Meaning of Christmas
   Aspect: personal dimension - about 2 weeks - forum posts, discussion/interviews
   Aspect: religious dimension - about 3 weeks - PowerPoint, photos, forum posts

3. Sending Christmas cards to partner schools as a good bye

From my experience students always love to compare their cultures. I have also used topics from the syllabus and expanded our knowledge. It is important not to ask too much of the students and to have a good time management as you need more time because you are working asynchronously or there might be problems booking the computer lab.
