At the end of the last year school needed a lot of work so that I did not find the time to write here. But this year I hope to find the time more often and post new connected to European projects.
An der Kaufmannsschule II wird in diesem Jahr ein Schüleraustausch mit der spanischen Schule Institut Montilivi in Girona, Katalonien. Der Kontakt entstand auch über eTwinning, als wir im letzten Schuljahr ein Skype-Meeting mit Schülerinnen und Schülern an unseren Schulen organisiert haben. Wir werden gemeinsam mit je einer Guppe von ca. 20 Schülerinnen und Schülern an dem Thema Work-Life-Balance arbeiten. Dazu werden wir ein eTwinning-Projekt gründen. Für die Vorweihnachtszeit haben sich die Spanier für ihren Besuch bei uns angemeldet - sie möchten einen deutschen Weihnachtsmarkt erleben und hoffen auf Schnee. Wenn das Wetter so weiter macht, bin ich ziemlich zuversichtlich, dass das klappen wird.
Kaufmannsschule II is going to do an exchange with the Spanisch school Institut Montilivi in Girona, Catalonia. This contact was established via eTwinning when we did a skype meeting with students from our schools. This year a group of about 20 students from each school will work together on the topic work-life-balance. We will do this in an eTwinning project. The Spaniards would like to visit us during advent to see a German Christmas market and they hope to get some snow. If the weather continues like it is at the moment I am confident that it will work out.
Zusätzlich bin ich in der Projektplanungsphase, denn es steht ein neues eTwinning-Projekt an. Ich unterrichte eine Klasse 11 in der Höheren Handelsschule in dem Fach "Englisch - Fremdsprachliche Kommunikation" und ich finde, da bietet sich - so ohne Lehrbuch und Lehrplan - ein internationales Projekt einfach an. Es wird wahrscheinlich um einen Vergleich von Leben und Kultur in den Partnerländern gehen. Dieses Projekt befindet sich in der Planung, da möchte ich doch darauf hinweisen, dass es zu diesem Thema eine Fortbildung gibt - sie wird über die eTwinning-Plattform angeboten und Teilnehmende aus allen europäischen Ländern haben. I am also planning a new eTwinning project. I am teaching a year 11 class with will take their exams in two years' time in a subject called "English - Communication in a foreign language" and I think this is asking for an international project as there is no syllabus. Most likely we will work on a project comparing life and culture with our partners. This project is still in the planning stage and that reminds me that there is a course on eTwinning on this topic - it will be carried out using the eTwinning platform and have participants from all European countries.
